Dr. Tynan, I brought my mother to your concert at CMAC to fulfill one of her dreams of seeing you perform. We were both blown away by your concert, your humor and most of all your hospitality. I have just ordered your DVD and can't wait to view it....I work for Ithaca College in their graduate program in Physical Therapy and know that your story will be inspirational to the students. Thank you again for making it such a special experience for us, you are truly an entertainer and lovely person. Debby Perkowski Kent, NY
Mr. Tynan... Thank you for such a wonderful performance last evening in Canandaigua! My introduction to your talents is a direct result of the NY Yankees. Though I am not a fan of the Yankees, I came to appreciate your performances in the days after 9/11. I am, however, a HUGE fan of the Buffalo Sabres and look forward to your continued involvement with our team. As you said yesterday, "Our time is coming." I hope you aren't doing anything in mid-June, as I fully expect you to be singing in Buffalo before a Stanley Cup Finals game! What was special about last night's performance is that you are the same person on stage as you have been in th broadcast booth with Rick Jennerette during Sabres games. Despite your tremedous voice, I think my wife and I would have just as much fun sitting with you at a local pub having a few rinks and listening to your stories of the road." Good luck to you in all your future endeavors, and we hope to see you during the upcoming hockey season! Darryl Walczak Rochester, NY
Dear Mr. Tynan, We just returned from the USO show here in Rota, Spain. While other performers touched our funny bone, you touched our hearts and souls. You alone paid honor to the spirit and holiness of the Christmas season. I spoke with many of our servicemen and family members afterwards who felt the same. It was an honor and a privilege to have you visit our small base. May God richly bless you as you continue in His service. Most Respectfully, John Freeman, CAPT, US Navy Rota, Spain
Dear Mr. Tynan, I had the wonderful blessing of getting to hear you for the first time last night in Rota, Spain. My family has been here for one and a half years and we have been in the US Navy for 17 years. Thank you for sharing your God given talents with all of us overseas. You are an inspiration to all. What a wonderful gift you gave us. Sincerely, Alison Junkin (Navy Wife) US Naval Base Rota, Spain
Mr. Tynan, I wanted to thank you for your recent USO tour. I saw the tour in Rota, Spain, but I spent some time in Iraq two years ago. It made me very happy to see you and your team travel around the middle east to entertain the troops during the Christmas season. Having been in Iraq during this time of year, I can tell you that anything to raise morale is beneficial. I know you made a lot of people very happy. Thank you. Respectfully, LCDR Jerry Mastaw, MD MC USN Rota, Spain
Dear Ronan, I just got back from the Winter Classic game and there are not enough words to express your performance today, but if I had to pick one...Heavenly comes to mind. I had chills down my spine and a tear in my eye and believe me, it was all you! To be able to be a part of history is also uneblievable and add in your amazing voice, made it priceless. Your love and support of the Sabres and Buffalo in general makes all of us Buffalonians proud. Today was all about the experience and I think that we proved that Buffalo is a spectacular place to live. Let's Go Buffalo...Let's Go! Sarah J. Faircloth Buffalo, NY
Dear Ronan, I had the extreme pleasure of seeing and hearing you at the "Ice Bowl" this week. We have a very close member of our family who is proudly serving in Irag. I just wanted to thank you for all the work you do not only for our hockey team and city, but for our country as well. ...the [scene] at the stadium when you sang was one I will never forget. The sight of the 2 flags and of the servicemen and women was overwhelming. You are truly an exceptional human being. Thanks again for all you do. It just goes to show that one person really can make a difference and we can all take a lesson or two from you. Sincerely, Sherri Parish North Tonawanda, NY
Dear Mr. Tynan, Your recent visit to Buffalo made me feel proud. Proud of a city that is often the butt of demeaning jokes. You chose us to spend part of your holiday time [with] entertaining not only local fans, but much of the free world, including our troops away from home. You thought enough of our citizens to unselfishly give your time and energy visiting patients at Women and Children's Hospital. You brought joy to many who otherwise may have faced a bleak time of the year. I salute you as a real inspiration to many....Congratulations on your successful life, and here's hoping that we can enjoy your work for many years to come. Sincerely, Dick Thompson Buffalo, NY
Ronan, Thank you so much for stopping by our office....It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. It is because of men like you that my fellow Marines and I do what we do. Your support of the American military is beyong reproach and we greatly appreciate you taking the time to travel this far to spend time with us all. When you sang "God Bless America" I closed my eyes and for a brief moment I felt like I was back home in Yankee Stadium listening to you. I could almost smell the dogs and stale beer, lol...It truly brought tears to my eyes and fabulous memories of days back in NYC. I have to say that you singing for us has to be one of the best holiday gifts I had ever received. May God continue to bless you Ronan. I am sure your mom is looking down at you and smiling and is proud of the joy you brought to Bagram.... Master Segeant Frank Bellini US Marine Corps
Ronan, I recently saw you speak at our Morgan Stanley annual conference. WOW...you truly changed my life! When a message as powerful as yours is delivered with such simplicity and clarity, one can only walk away with true enlightenment. Your message gives me encouragement to reach for those unfathomable heights in every aspect of my short life on this earth. Max V. Elson Jr Celebration, FL
Ronan, You spoke and sang (my apologies, this word is not powerful enough to actually describe your performance) this past Thursday at our dinner. I wanted to thank you, not only for your truly amazing story of inspiration and humor, but also for your recent visit to our troops. As a member of the US Army Reserves, I truly understand how much it means to my brothers and sisters, so far from home, to have someone bring them "closer" to home. Although we are the strongest and one of the most determined fighting forces in the world, I would imagine that there were few dry eyes in the ranks as you stepped off the stage. Thank you for helping me focus on the important things in life and thank you for taking time to make sure our troops know how much you care. John Myers Columbus, OH
Mr. Tynan, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful rendition of God Bless America that you do at Yankee games. I am a huge Yankee fan and watch most every game. I look forward to the games that you do. It really makes you feel a great love for the country and those that fight for it when you sing. Its one of the only things that can keep Yankee fans quiet for two and a half minutes. Keep it up and keep coming to the Stadium. God Bless You! Kevin Hines Penn Yan, NY
Dear Mr. Tynan, I just read about your very interesting and inspiring life thru a Yankee website. I think you are a wonderful tenor, and your rendition of God Bless America at the Yankee games is both patriotic and uplifting. It makes me proud to be an American each time you sing it. I truly wish they would play it at more stadiums and hope the Yankees will continue. Next to a walk off home run at the stadium, your song is the highlight of the game. Please keep up the inspiring work. Michael DelPrete Factoryville, PA
Dear Mr. Tynan, Just a quick note to thank you for the beautiful rendition of God Bless America. I am a Yankee fan from way back and I watch all the games on Yes. It's always a pleasure to hear you sing during the seventh inning stretch. You have a fantastic voice and you put so much emotion into the singing. I hope you will be back for the 2008 season. Micholas Ewen Norwich, NY
Dear Dr. Tynan, My wife and my 2 sons have been Yankee fans for years. Fifty-five for me to be exact, we have always loved it when you sang at Yankee Stadium and there never was a dry eye in our home. It has taken on an even more special meaning for us the past couple of years since our son Rett became a Navy Diver and has been away from us during the playoffs. You somehow seem to capture in your voice and the words of the song how much pride we have for our son and our country. My heart swells and the tears come streaming down. God bless you and thank you. Go Yankees. Alan Chambers Bountiful, UT

My good man, I usually don't pay much attention to the singer of God Bless America other than to be grateful for our great country. Your rendition is another story. Quite possibly the best I have ever heard, and I have heard them over 50 years! Great Ronan, just great! David Mark Havertown, PA
Dear Ronan, On behalf of the families of our fallen and the 12,000 members of the New York City Fire Department please accept my thanks for attending and participating in the commemorative service at St. Patrick's Cathedral yesterday afternoon. You have been a staunch supporter of both the Department and our families. You have been an unshakable example of resilience and strength for them and your voice and music have repeatedly expressed what words could not. The resounding second verse of "God Bless America" in which we all joined ended the service with great strength and one voice. Thank you for being a true friend of the FDNY. Sincerely, Nicholas Scoppetta Fire Commissioner.
To Ronan Tynan: I would very much like to thank you for your get-well wishes regarding my injury. On the day the Yankees win the World Championship, I will remember your kind thoughts and support, and how they inspired me to play that much harder for the Yankees. Best regards, Hideki Matsui
Dear Ronan-- I loved having you in my office-- The Irish immigrant song was wonderful-- You know you've arrived when you make the New York Times Sunday puzzle! Thanks, Bill Clinton [Former President William J. Clinton]
Sir, I have never heard of you before ... last night. I was watching Trail Mix on Animal Planet. As a horse owner, rider, and most of all a lover of these fine animals, I found your segment on the show to be ... true and honest.... I have talked with a few of my...friends who also watched the show and we all felt the same way,...felt so motivated to find out "who is this person"?! Most of us know that horsemanship is not a hobby but a way of life and felt that...you truly had the passion and lived up to the subtitle of the show, "how horses have changed their lives". So thank you for that and I enjoyed every word you said on the show. I was pleasantly surprised that you are a motivational speaker and listened to the clip and enjoyed it very mcuh and will look into obtaining your album and some other works from you. Thank you and will be looking more into your events and works. Pamela A. Brockman Clarksville, TN
Ronan, I recently saw you at the IHI Satellite Broadcast.... What a great speaker, and I think your next career move could be stand up comedy! Thank you again and again for such a heartfelt, inspiring presentation. Darcy L. Karajin Portland, Maine
Good Evening Ronan, My name is Len van der Walt and I reside in Johannesburg, South Africa. ...I am mad about classical music, and tenor voices are my favorite. I would like to tell you that I admire you so much for your courage in life. You are a shining example of what can be done if one puts one's mind to it. I have all your CD's so far. Please continue bringing joy to us with your voice and inspirational talks. Kind regards, Leonard van der Walt Johannesburg, South Africa
Dear Ronan: We were in the audience last night when you spoke to the Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan. What an inspiration you are to me and what a beautiful message of encouragement you have given...I can say without a doubt that you are absolutely one of the most wonderful speakers we have ever had! Thank you for sharing your values and Christian morals and for expressing such sincere love and affection for your Mother and Father. Keep up the good work. Thank you again. May God bless and keep you and may His face continue to shine upon you. Margaret Poole Benton Harbor, Michigan
Dear Mr. Tynan, My wife and I just returned from your Naples, Florida concert. It could not have been more pleasing nor richly endowed with a program of music that was at once profound and then spirited, and then, just fun. Many thanks, and we hope to see you again. Blessings, Ronald H. Reimann, Sr. Cottage Grove, MN
Dear Ronan, My husband and I were thrilled to see you in Naples, Florida. I was told the Phil audiences are usually less than enthusiastic, but your wonderful voice, personality and ensemble rocked the house! You moved many in the audience...to tears, joy and laughter in one of the best live performances either my husband or I have ever seen. Trudy Bentley Rech Naples, Florida
Ronan, How wonderful was your presentation in Salt Lake City with the Mormon Choir. I had the privilege to see you on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Just after the Spoken Word broadcast, I took the plane back to my country, in a 22 hour trip. Ronan, you sing with your heart and soul. It is more than voice and skills. Your performance made me cry. I was so impressed by your life. You are an example to all of us, an example of how to overcome difficulties, challenges and troubles. I think I became a better person after knowing your history. I was just one more in the Conference Center those days, clapping hands, but I would like to let you know that you touched my life forever. Thank you for the wonderful gift. May the Man Above bless you more and more. Andre B. Silveira Recife, Brazil
Ronan, What a marvelous performance at the Conference Center in Salt Lake last night! Your wonderful tenor voice just melted our hearts! Thank you so much for sharing the gift that God has so graciously given you! Kathleen Arrington North Ogden, Utah
Hi Ronan, Thank you for coming to Chicago's Celtic Fest last Saturday. It was a very entertaining concert. The Bono impersonation at the end was the best part. As we were leaving Grant Park, the guy behind me said, "That man can sing anything!" Jan Saletta Northbrook, Illinois
Dear Ronan, My husband and I have been so blessed by your music! We thrilled to your singing at President Reagan's funeral, at the National Prayer Service prior to the President's Inauguration, and at the celebration on July 4th as well as other times we have heard you on television. Kathleen Williams Celeste, Texas
Dear Mr. Tynan, I am writing from Hong Kong, where tonight I just watched you on tv..... To hear your powerful voice was sweet, to hear your story and of tough love was enlightening but, what remains are your thoughts on positive thinking. It is dedication and the need to practice and perfect and polish. Thank you for being a beacon of encouragement and a statue of and role model for hard work and dedication. Thank you. Dai Kitamura Hong Kong, SAR
Dear Dr. Tynan, As an employee of nine years at RHCI I just wanted to thank you for a truly enjoyable musical, humorous and touching experience at our benefit yesterday. Ronan, I purchased your latest cd over the weekend and I have to say, incredible. Your voice is truly a blessing to the world. I also had the pleasure of hearing you sing 'Amazing Grace' on one of the Christian showings Sunday, at the Crystal Cathedral, I believe, and it was truly amazing. Your soulful voice really moves people and you have the gift inside you to really change peoples lives with your message. Sincerely, Robert Taylor Fredericksburg, VA

Dear [Ronan] Tynan, I was recently in Dublin for some masterclasses...and my dear friend Barry Hodkinson presented me a copy of your book as well as a copy of l6th January Sunday Tribune. I really enjoyed the reading and I was very interested [in] all your life and to know how you were able to overcome so many big problems, never stopping and winning even in sports. Howdy! I'm an American student...at Queen's University. My husband and I attended your concert in Belfast...and were really touched by your music. I think it is a true testament to your talent and personality that the atmosphere was so comfortable. Thanks so much for sharing your gifts with us. Suellen Hill Belfast, Northern Ireland
Ronan, What an inspiration you are to all of us. Ronan... My wife and I just saw the segment on Primetime. YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION. It was great to hear your story and learn of your many successes. I checked your schedule looking for a place close to me here in Nashville but you're not close. We (brothers) did just work in 1894 Opry House in Galveston for 2 days.... Don't know if you have sung there before but you will love it. They are wonderful people and a GREAT place to make music... It was great seeing you at the inauguration in January and my best to you my friend & continued success. I am going out tomorrow to buy the new cd. GOD BLESS... Steve Gatlin [The Gatlin Brothers]
Dear Dr. Tynan, I don't know if you've heard of Bahrain. It's a small island in the Arabian Gulf, near Saudi Arabia. I watched the program "Up from Nowhere" [Primetime Live!] and was astonished and inspired by your story. So I'm writing to express my admiration and gratitude for inspiring and giving hope. Thank you and keep up the wonderful work. Browning said something about "the unlit lamp and the ungirt loin"... Well, he certainly didn't see you coming! Wael H. Al-MAHDI Bahrain
Dr. Tynan, Unusual for me to see a story on TV, particularly in present circumstances in Iraq, that motivates me to send a note. As I work here in Baghdad with those who have lost so much yet continue to seek something positive..., seeing you on an ABC story this morning reminded me of the power of purpose. Best regards, Tim Baker Baghdad, Iraq
